Events at Camp TamokDo you represent a company looking for something outside the ordinary? Lyngsfjord Adventure can create an event for you comprising excursions and a social gathering at Camp Tamok. Our wilderness camp is located a 75-minute scenic drive from the city centre of Tromsø, in the wilderness of the Tamok Valley. Camp Tamok comprises timber cabins, lavvus (Sami herdsmen’s tents) with open fire, and a large hot tub and a sauna. There are separate toilet facilities for men and women. Staying in the wilderness camp is like turning time back a hundred years. It is primitive, but accordingly authentic and genuine, with a tonne of atmosphere. In the winter season you can combine excursions by snowmobile, dog sled or reindeer sled with a social time together at the camp. In the summer time you can combine the gathering with a canoeing excursion, glacier walking, or you can spend your whole time at the wilderness camp. Hot tub and sauna can be included if you wish. We serve traditional Norwegian or Sami food and drinks of your choice. You have the option of spending the night at the camp, sleeping in the timber cabin or in a heated Sami tent. We provide all necessary gear, including warm outdoor clothing during the winter season. We can advise you about the content of the event, depending on which season you choose to visit. You may combine the time in the wilderness with a visit to Tromsø, the Capital of Arctic Norway.
